Services

My therapy is mainly based on two orientations: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Therapy. However, I tailor the therapy to the specific needs of each client and use the techniques I feel will be the most helpful for that individual or family.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Individual Therapy
CBT is the style of therapy that has been shown to make the most positive and long-lasting changes in the life of the clients. Research shows that CBT helps to make important life style changes and can dramatically increase feelings of well-being and happiness. It is focused on finding solutions and reaching a better understanding of yourself in a relatively short amount of time. It has been shown to be very helpful for people struggling with depression, anxiety, or just life stressors in general.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy
The goal of Systemic Family Therapy is to help family members communicate better, understand each other better, and get along in the best way possible. The family and the therapist work together to establish common goals. Research indicates that family therapy is as effective, and in some cases more effective than individual treatments for many issues.
